James "Jim" Schriber passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike McDougan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

James Edward “Jim” Vitkowski, 70, of Tyrone, Oklahoma passed away July 8, 2014 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Jim was born December 30, 1943. He was a long time resident and business owner in Tyrone, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by long time companion, Cora Lee Stacey.

Survivors include his daughters, Nicole and Amanda Jo.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the Tyrone Cemetery with Pastor Jim Holman officiating under the direction of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Hooker, Oklahoma.

BUDDY PRESTON BRUNTON

AMARILLO, Texas – Buddy Preston Brunton, 94, of Amarillo, died Thursday, July 24, 2014.
Buddy was born on February 13, 1920 in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Roy and Nola Brunton.
He managed to survive the Dust Bowl alongside his siblings, where they were raised on a Dairy Farm.
He was preceded in death by his father at the age of 10. Then his uncle, Ansil Preston then stepped into the role of father figure.
In 1944, at the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served in WWII until his honorable discharge in 1946.

Funeral services for Steven Lynn Lee, 63, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Lone Grove, conducted by Rev. David Gardner. Burial will follow in the Nelda Cemetery, south of Dickson.
There will be a time of visitation and support for family and friends, Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home in Ardmore.

Aline (Rhodes) Gaither, 67 of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The daughter of Eldon Albert and Irene Fern (Cooper) Rhodes, she was born May 16, 1949 in Guymon, Oklahoma. She attended the Guymon school system.

Aline married Billy Jack Gaither. They have been residents of Mt. Pleasant for many years.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Irene Rhodes, one brother, Wayne A. Rhodes and one sister, Yvonne Rhodes.

Imogene “Momo” Wilson, 76, of Guymon, passed away Tuesday evening, July 15th, 2014 at the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The daughter of Michael Ray and Emma (Hopewell) Good, she was born February 24, 1938 in New Market, Virginia. She attended school in New Market, graduating with the Class of 1957.

JACK PERKINS ALEXANDER

Guymon, Oklahoma – Jack Perkins Alexander, 88, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 near Dill City, Oklahoma.
The son of Maude (Walker) and Guy Alexander, he was born September 23, 1925 in Whitesboro, Texas. Part of the greatest generation, Jack served his country during World War II as a Staff Sargeant in the United States Army. He was stationed in the Pacific as a nose gunner on the “Patriotic Patty,” a B-24 Bomber, on which he and the crew were awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for a low level strafing mission.

BILLY CLAYTON COLDIRON

Billy Clayton Coldiron, 80, of Guymon, passed away Wednesday, evening, July 9th, 2014 at the Grace Living Center in Clinton, Oklahoma.

The son of Uel and Rilla (Fike) Coldiron, he was born April 24, 1934 in Wellington, Texas. Billy attended school in Wellington and Guymon graduating with the Guymon High School Class of 1954.

Billy served in the United States Navy. He worked for TG&Y, Gibson’s, and Standard Supply. He has been a resident of Grace Living Center in Clinton since 2011.

Col. Norman C. Wilmeth of Guymon, OK, US Army (Ret) passed away July 7, 2014 after a brief illness at Texas Tech University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was 96 years old.
