...EXTENDED PERIOD OF COLD WEATHER AND POSSIBLE SNOW EXPECTED
WEDNESDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

THE WARM WEATHER WILL COME TO AN ABRUPT END BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
THE PASSAGE OF AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL BRING MUCH COLDER WEATHER
AND PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOWFALL TO THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES.
THIS COLD AIR WILL PERSIST INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

NEARLY ALL OF THE PANHANDLES WILL STAY BELOW FREEZING FROM AT LEAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...HIGHS
WILL GENERALLY BE IN THE TEENS AND 20S ACROSS THE REGION. THIS COLD
WEATHER...COMBINED WITH WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL CREATE VERY DANGEROUS WIND CHILL VALUES DURING THE OVERNIGHT AND MORNING HOURS THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. DURING THESE HOURS...WIDESPREAD WIND CHILL VALUES BELOW ZERO...WITH SOME VALUES AS LOW AS 10 DEGREES BELOW ZERO
WILL BE POSSIBLE.

IN ADDITION TO DANGEROUS COLD...SOME LIGHT SNOW...WITH SNOW TOTALS AROUND ONE TO THREE INCHES...WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

THOSE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK SHOULD COMPLETE SUCH
CHORES BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON IF AT ALL POSSIBLE...BEFORE THE PASSING ARCTIC FRONT BRINGS THE ONSET OF MUCH COLDER WEATHER.
