Small business safety training set

January 7, 2013

A safety training for small businesses will be offered in Guymon from January-July to help small businesses meet OSHA requirements, to help limit liability, and to possibly lower workman’s compensation fees and auto insurance.
The training will cover basic workplace safety, first aid and CPR, fire prevention, drills and extinguishers, substance abuse, six hours of defensive driving, violence in the workplace, blood born pathogens, and sexual harassment.
The fees are per person for all eight classes and cover the entire workshop series. All Main Street Guymon, PREDCI, or Guymon Chamber of Commerce members are $40 per person and all others are $60 per person.
Classes are going to be held at the Guymon Community Development/Business Enterprise Center’s Training Room located at 802 NE 6th.
Those interested need to call Melyn Johnson of Main Street Guymon at 580-338-6246 so they can figure out if individuals want morning, noon, or evening classes. To register, calls can be made to Melyn or email her at director@mainstreetguymon.com.
