School's Out: Spring Has Sprung

March 11, 2013

Spring Break is upon those in the area and students and teachers alike are looking forward to a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of every day school happenings.
There are many who enjoy staying home during this time to catch up on housework and relax, but most enjoy a nice getaway for a few days to remove themselves from everything.
The top Spring Break Destinations, according to StudentCity, are Cancun, Panama City Beach, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and South Padre Island just to name a few.
Most of these places are tropical and full of nice weather and sunshine, but there are other places that Spring Breakers like to enjoy as well.
This is the case for Guymon High School Senior Logan Wilgus who plans to spend his Spring Break with his family in South Fork, Colo. just kicking back and relaxing in a cabin.
"It's a good break from high school and college," said Wilgus. "We go maybe twice or three times a year and just get away from town for a little bit and take it easy; maybe do a little fishing while I'm up there."
One of his favorite Spring Break memories is when he was able to go to the mountains and watch it snow.
It is time to 'spring' into fun, but wherever Spring Breakers may decide to travel, everyone is encouraged to stay safe, use common sense, and have plenty of fun.
