Lions Chili and Stew Supper is Tuesday

January 16, 2012

It’s time once again for the annual, highly anticipated Guymon Lions Club Chili and Stew Supper, which will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 6th and Quinn in Guymon.
“We start serving at 5:30 p.m. and will continue serving until we run out of food or 8 p.m., whichever comes first,” said Guymon Lion, Charles Michael. “Come and enjoy the homemade pies!”
According to Michael, the event is a fundraiser the Guymon Lions host each year to raise money the group uses for various community projects and help where they can provide it.
“We serve the Guymon community with several working projects and we need your help and support to keep these projects going,” Michael said.
“The Guymon Lions Club has been serving Guymon since 1928 and we have been serving Chili and Stew since 1968. That’s 44 years of Chili and Stew!”
Tickets for the event can be purchased from any Lion or at the door.
Adult tickets are $6, children 5 to 8 years old are $4 and age four and under are free.
