The Guymon Daily Herald is excited to announce the new Familiar Face that can be seen out and about and in our office. Nancy Kletecka is the new Managing Editor for the paper and is anxious to get started.
Although she was born in Boise City, Nancy now lives in Hooker and says she has lived there twice. She is going on 13 years in Hooker this time around, and was there two years the previous time.
This is not her first rodeo here at the Guymon Daily Herald as she worked here about 20 years ago. She is back again for more excitement and to help the community share all the news.
When she was little, Nancy says she wanted to grow up to be a writer and photographer, which makes her a perfect fit at the GDH.
If Nancy werenât here as the editor, she names being a Crime Novel Writer as her alternate dream career.
Nancy is a family woman who has now been married to husband Mike for 13 years and has three daughters, 29-year-old Amanda, 27-year-old Ashley, and 26-year-old Samantha.
Nancy also has four grandchildren, four step-grandkids, and two more grandkids on the way.
Nancy enjoys making time for fun hobbies, such as scrapbooking, photography, reading, and spending plenty of time with all her children and grandchildren. She has volunteered her time to many civic organizations in the past and is now a member of the Seward County Fair Board, Liberal Chamber of Commerce, and Liberal International Pancake Day.
Nancy is not always all âworkâ as she says that her guilty pleasure is to play Farmville, etc. on Facebook.
A few of her favorite things include country and old rock music, the movie Message in a Bottle, shows on TV such as true crime television, Pawn Stars, and Storage Wars, and her dream car is a Viper.
Everyone is welcome to stop by and get to know our new Editor and make her feel welcome as she joins our staff at the Guymon Daily Herald.
