March 16, 2013

Guymon City Council met Thursday to discuss different topics, made up of mostly bid discussions for different projects throughout the City.
First up for discussion was discussion and possible action on accepting bids for a Network Connectivity System for the City buildings.
Travis Clark from PTCI was present to answer various questions they had regarding extra costs and costs of adding extra buildings in the future to the network, and other details that he and Guymon IT Administrator Jim Andrews agreed to work out and present to the council.
That item on the agenda was tabled until next meeting.
They also discussed and took action on accepting bids for networking equipment, in which the council discussed bids by PTSI and Chickasaw Telecom, Inc.
Council decided to go with Chickasaw Telecom, Inc. with the low bid of $26,371 in comparison to PTSI’s bid of $33,921.
