Children's Health Fair

It's time to take part in a FREE Children’s Health Fair. It will be held at the Texas County Activity Center at 5th and Sunset from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This promises to be a fun time and a great opportunity to get services and information.
Each booth will have a fun activity for children to promote healthy choices and safety. For instance, the Texas County Sherriff’s Office/Okla. Highway Safety Office will have a Rollover Simulator to demonstrate the importance of wearing seatbelts. Apollo MedFlight will be sponsoring the Jumping Balloon promoting fitness and exercise.
Some of the agencies participating this year include the Texas County Family YMCA , Apollo, Bank of the Panhandle, Latinos M-Power, Northwest Center for Behavioral Health -APRC, Texas County Health Department, Brown & Associates Insurance, Girl Scouts TX OK Plains, Access to Care/OCCY, Tri-County Electric Cooperative, PTCI, Guymon Fire Department, Department of Human Services, Oklahoma Parents Center, Legal Aid Service of Oklahoma. Inc., Memorial Hospital, Eagle Med, Hope Pregnancy Center, Catholic Charities, Texas County Coalition, Urgent Care, Oklahoma Insurance Dept., and the DA’s Child Abuse Task Force.
Texas County Health Department will be offering immunizations this year at the Health Department located at 1410 N. East Street from 3:00 to 5:00.   Please come by the health department and then take your child to participate in the fun activities at the health fair.  If you have questions about whether your child needs vaccinations, feel free to call 580-338-8544.
