Big News from PTCI: PTCI Signs 4G LTE Agreement

January 29, 2014

PTCI, a leading provider of telecommunications services in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles, today announced a strategic network operating agreement with one of the nation’s premiere wireless carriers, with plans to build a 4G LTE wireless platform that will encompass most of the Oklahoma Panhandle.
PTCI’s new 4G LTE network will bring the latest generation of wireless network technology to customers living in areas of the Oklahoma Panhandle not currently covered by 4G technology. With 4G, customers will enjoy a mobile experience that is second to none – streaming, downloading, uploading, and gaming faster than ever before. Additionally, wireless users traveling through the Oklahoma Panhandle will appreciate superior, seamless service.
“The demand for mobile Internet continues to skyrocket, and our new 4G LTE network in the Oklahoma Panhandle will provide the mobile experience our customers want,” said Shawn Hanson, Chief Executive Officer of PTCI. “Construction on our 4G LTE project has begun, and with cooperation from Mother Nature, PTCI plans to begin delivering ultra-fast 4G speeds sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2014.”
Today’s announcement is a great example of how PTCI continues to support its customers’ growing desire for high-speed Internet access and new mobile, app, and cloud-based services. As a member and corporate citizen of the communities they serve, PTCI always looks for opportunities to provide enhanced coverage for their customers. Their investment in this wireless network is another way they’re accomplishing that.
