GOODWELL—The OPSU volleyball team was back in action Thursday night as University of Texas-Permian Basin came to town.
The Aggies entered the match with a 4-15 record and were in need of a big win to help turn their season around. The Falcons, who were 7-12 entering the match, were looking for a big win as well.
The first set of the match came down to the wire, but UTPB pulled out the tight victory 26-24. They rode that momentum into the second and third sets and defeated the Aggies 25-15 and 25-17.
Erica Skipper led the Aggies with seven kills, Terra Madden led with 10 assists, and Michaela Redding led the team with 12 digs.
On Saturday afternoon, McMurry University came into Goodwell to battle the Aggies and with an 11-5 record, OPSU had a tough task ahead of them. McMurry won in straight sets, 25-9, 25-18, and 25-15 and pushed the Aggies record to 4-17.
Lexi McAdam led the team with six kills, while Terra Madden led with 10 assists, and Nora Pulaski led with eight digs.
The Aggies head to Wichita, Kan. next Thursday to take on Newman University in a conference match.
